Happy Shopping Day!
Well it didn't start out as a very happy shopping day. We went to Publix and they are still out of my razors that I have a raincheck for. Then I was very upset with myself (I still am a little) because I didn't bring my money-making coupons with me and they actually had some of the stuff in stock, btu I am trying to get over it! They had the cooking creme on sale for $2, we still have a ton of it, but I had some $1.50 off chicken coupons when you buy the creme and I wanted to get some chicken. We got the cooking cremes for 50 cents each and $4.50 off the chicken, so it was about $5 for the chicken, part of which will be dinner Sunday:) The yoplait smoothie mix was $1.59 each and I had $1 coupons so we are going to give them a try. I also had a coupon for the single serve pie, which is 2 slices, so we got that for about 50 cents. I had a coupon for the free ready rice (I actually would have done better using that at Kroger, but it was free so whatever). All of this about $10!
However the best trip of today was surprisingly Kroger. I had to go to 2 different stores, but I got all of this for about $1.50!!! The ivory body was and safeguard bars were on sale for $1 and I had $1 off coupons. We got that at the first store and paid just the 56 cents in tax. Next we went to the other Kroger. They are having a mega event- buy 10 participating items and get $5 off (works out to 50 cents off per item). They didn't have a lot that I wanted, but they had the men's nivea body wash for $2.50 after the savings- and I still had my $3 off coupons from a couple of weeks ago. So I made 50 cents for each bottle of body wash- that's not really true becaue I had to buy the pasta to make 10 items and sadly all of my ronzoni coupons were expired, they were on sale for 50 cents each so I basically got them for free with the overage from the body wash. The bbq sauce was on sale for 49 cents and I had 45 cent coupons that doubled, so made money there too! We paid about 95 cents for the 2nd trip!
